What happens to your data if you cancel?

The service history belongs to the vehicles and will not be deleted. However, your own access to lookup ends at the same time as the subscription.

This article is for garages that have terminated or are considering it, and who want to know what will become of the work they have registered. There are two different questions in it, and they each have their own answers: what happens to the registrations and what happens to your access.

The service history belongs to the car

When you register a service, the registration belongs to the vehicle and not to your workshop. It follows the car no matter what happens to your subscription, and the car owner can continue to see it. This is the basic idea of a digital service book, and it also holds up when a workshop stops.

In other words, you do not remove documentation from your previous customers by terminating. Had it been the other way around, the history would not be worth building on.

Your access ends with the subscription

Access to log in, search and look up vehicles follows the subscription. If the subscription ends, access ends on the same day. There is no transition period during which you can continue to post.

It's not a technical limit, but because lookups in data are part of what the subscription pays for. A period afterwards would be to provide the service for free.

Get what you need before the subscription ends

Precisely because there is no period afterwards, it must be done during the notice period. Put it on the list on the day you cancel, rather than saving it for the last week.

  • Service certificates on ongoing cases, so that the customer has the documentation in hand.
  • The customer database, if you use it as your own register.
  • The overview of upcoming services, so that agreed visits do not fall to the floor.

Photos of paper service books

The pictures you have uploaded of paper service books also belong to the vehicle. They will remain so that the work you have put into digitizing old booklets will not be lost because you change supplier. You just cannot look them up yourself afterwards.

If you return

Contact us rather than create a new account. Then we can see what can be taken up from the one you had, instead of you starting over.
