Chinese brands have almost doubled their share in Europe, but service data and access to it are not in place!
Chinese brands accounted for around 6 percent of new car registrations in the EU in the first four months of the year, against 3.2 percent a year earlier. The rules on access to service data apply to them on the same terms as everyone else, and the Commission has just put a date on it: from 23 June 2027 an independent workshop has to be able to read and update the electronic maintenance history. That the industry is not there yet gives cause for concern. We are ready to help, but the clock is running.

If you sell your Tesla, you and the buyer loose access to the service history
Tesla's own support guide describes that a change of ownership removes vehicle information and access from the previous owner. The consequence is that neither the seller nor the buyer of a used Tesla can show the car's past themselves.
