Workshops logging in to Digital Servicebook are now met by a dashboard that immediately shows the state of the day's operation. How many services are completed, which ones are waiting, and how many customers and vehicles are attached to the workshop. The answers are there without anyone having to go looking for them.
“We want to strengthen workshops in their daily operation. They already hold a great deal of valuable knowledge about their customers and cars, and our job is to serve it up so it can be acted on. The dashboard is the first step on that journey,” says Kim Koch, CEO of Digital Servicebook.
The customer can be contacted before they think of it themselves
The central element is the overview of pending services. The workshop can see which customers are due for a service visit and get in touch in good time. That means a fuller calendar and a workshop that comes across as proactive rather than waiting. It also helps make sure a service visit is not missed or lost to a competitor.
Lookups across several sources
The dashboard also shows the number of lookups with vehicle manufacturers, in CRM systems and through other integrations, both for the month and in total. The feature was previously known as OE data and has now been extended so the workshop can search across several sources.
Graph and calendar for planning
Trends in services, inspections and repairs are shown over time, and a calendar overview makes it easy to spot the busy periods. By seeing when the load has historically been heaviest, the service manager can staff more sensibly, place the large jobs in the quiet spells and use capacity better.
This is the data the workshop already generates day to day, turned into a management tool. The dashboard is version 1.0, and in time the platform will be able to help book appointments directly with the customer, where the workshop consents to it.
