There is a long way to go from a small office in Næstved in 2015 to a Gazelle from Børsen. The road has not gone in leaps and bounds, but in thousands of small steps: one more workshop, one more function, one more car owner. For the first time, Digital Servicebook has been named a Gazelle, and this award is not given for one good report, but for progress that has lasted year after year.
"We have spent the years laying a foundation, and the Gazelle is the receipt that it lasts. But it is not mine. It belongs to the employees who have taken every single one of the small steps along the way, even the ones no one from the outside noticed. Thank you. It is you who make me look into 2027 with such great anticipation," says Kim Koch, CEO of Digital Servicebook.
The award belongs to the employees
Progress for four years in a row is not the result of one decision, but of many thousands. It is the supporter who stays on the line until the workshop is up and running. The developer who removes the obstacle that no one outside the house noticed. The colleague who takes the meeting one more time because the customer is worth waiting for. The gazelle is the work, seen from the outside and measured in numbers.
The sales organization is built for a European market
Part of the foundation is the organization itself. The sales team has been strengthened in recent years, most recently with Lasse Skov, who has taken over the day-to-day management of the sales organization, and at the same time, the roll-out in the European markets has gotten off to a good start.
"A sales team that has to cover several countries cannot be built the day you need it. We have spent the last few years hiring, training and structuring, and most recently we have a new manager in the sales organization. This is the kind of work you can't see in an award like this, but without it, we wouldn't have reached the European markets at the pace we are," says Teis Nielsen, COO of Digital Servicebook.
2026 was about laying the foundation
The gazelle comes on top of the AAA credit rating at Dun & Bradstreet, which Digital Servicebook has received for two years in a row, and the two things each say half of it. One is how fast it goes. The other is how solid it is. But the foundation is also something very concrete, namely the integrations that mean that the service follows the car all the way through its life. The car typically spends the first few years at the authorised workshops, and there we get the service from the car brands' own platforms and from the dealer systems that the workshop works in on a daily basis. As the car gets older, it moves into the free aftermarket, and there we integrate with a wide range of workshop systems. If the workshop does not use one of them, we take the invoice instead and read it with scanning, and it does not require more than that we are put on as BCC when the invoice is sent anyway.
At the end of the year, we will launch a revised platform. Here, car owners, garages, dealers, fleet owners and financial companies will each have their own access to the same service history, adapted to their role around the vehicle.
In 2027, we will build on that
The next step is to put live telematic data from the car on top of the documented history, which now extends from the day the car was built until today. We have entered into a cooperation agreement with CARUSO and TecAlliance on telematic data so that we can offer it to our customers, and the implementation will begin in the first quarter of 2027.
Live telematic data together with the history opens up functions we have not been able to provide before. The workshop can see when a car has driven longer than the service interval lasts, and catch it before the customer even notices it. The car owner and fleet owner can have the mileage log kept automatically instead of by hand. And the workshop can give its customers the same experience that the car brands give their own customers. This is what puts the independent workshop on an equal footing with the authorized ones.
"2026 was about laying the foundation. In 2027, we are building the future," says Jais Edelmann, CTO of Digital Servicebook.
Thank you to every single employee who has made the Gazelle possible, and thank you to the workshops and partners who have chosen us along the way. We celebrate the award for one evening, and then we are at it again.
