Digital Servicebook has entered a global partnership with TEMOT International Autoparts GmbH. The agreement is a step in the company's international growth and is to bring verified service history to workshops well beyond the Nordic markets.

“We have spent years building something that works in practice, not only on paper. With TEMOT we now have the chance to scale globally without compromising on what we believe in,” says Kim Koch, CEO of Digital Servicebook.

A market in flux

Car manufacturers are increasingly developing their own digital service history systems, which binds customers more tightly to the brand's own network. At the same time, demand is growing from both independent and franchised workshops for better access to documentation and data. The two movements pull in opposite directions, and the problem lies in the gap between them.

A solution that works across systems

What is needed is not another system, but something that works between them. The workshop documents service, maintenance and repairs in one combined history, and the documentation can be passed on to the manufacturers' own systems for those who need it. The result is a history that is consistent and can be relied on, wherever the work was carried out.

The whole industry, not only parts of it

That is the heart of the partnership: a car's history belongs to the car, not to the individual manufacturer or the individual workshop. When the documentation is recorded at the source and available to everyone with a legitimate interest in the vehicle, it strengthens the workshop's position, whatever its starting point.
