How to set up Digital Servicebook in macsData

macsData is Hella Gutmann's platform. The setup takes a few minutes, and you approve the connection with your own Digital Servicebook login.

This guide is for workshops that use macsData, Hella Gutmann's platform. Once the connection is set up, the service form is transferred to Digital Servicebook, so that the service does not have to be registered in two places.

It must be in place first

  • Your Digital Servicebook login. If you do not have an account yet, you can create one during the process.
  • Access to Settings in macsData. If your setup requires an identification code to open settings, you must have it at hand.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings in macsData. The menu is located in the bottom left corner behind the gear icon.
  2. Find the section Digital Servicebook and click on Manage Digital Servicebook. The subtitle says Service schedule transfer to Digital Servicebook Aps.
  3. Click Start on the Digital Servicebook setup page. A new browser window will open.
  4. Log in with your Digital Servicebook user in the new window. This is the login that approves the connection. If you do not have an account, you can create one here in the process.
  5. Leave macsData open. As long as the registration is running, it says Awaiting registration.
  6. When it says Digital Servicebook setup is complete, you are done.

Do not close the window during the process

If you close the macsData page while it is on Awaiting registration, the registration will be reset and you will have to start over from step 3. Leave both windows open until the setup is complete.

This is the error that most often costs an extra try, because it is obvious to switch back and close the window when you have logged in to the other one.

If the texts look different

Buttons and headings in macsData follow the program's own language setting, which can be found under Settings. If your macsData is in Danish, the fields are called something different than above, but the order and location are the same.

You can always register directly with us

The integration is a shortcut and not a prerequisite. The service can always be created directly in Digital Servicebook via the website or app. The connection to macsData exists solely to save you from typing the same thing in two places.

Afterwards

The service schedule is automatically transferred from macsData to Digital Servicebook. Once the setup is in place, you do not need to do anything else.

If the service is also to be uploaded to the OE platforms, it is set up in the Digital Servicebook with the OE Upload service. This is a setting with us and not in macsData.

If you experience problems getting the integration to work, please contact us.
