The app for car owners

The app for car owners

The app is free for car owners and is available both in the browser and for iOS and Android. Here you will find the car's history, the documents and the reminder for the next service.

The service history is often scattered across receipts, a booklet in the glove compartment and a memory of what the workshop said last. The app is where it is gathered and where you can see it without having to call anyone first.

Where to find the app

Digital Servicebook is available both as a web app in the browser and as an app for iOS and Android. It is the same account and the same cars in both places, so you can add the car to your computer and see the history on your phone afterwards. It is free for you as a car owner, and there is no subscription or payment information involved.

How to access your car's history

There are two ways in. One is that you create a user yourself and add the car on the number plate or chassis number. This is described step by step in How to add your car.

The other is that the workshop creates the service book on the car with your consent when the car has been inside. Then you will receive a text message that the book exists and can go directly in and see it. This is the way many car owners encounter the Digital Servicebook for the first time.

What you can view and save in the app

The history shows the services registered on the car, regardless of which workshop has carried out the work. Invoices and checklists can be attached to the individual service, so that the documentation is together with the work it belongs to, instead of in a pile at home.

You can also add pictures yourself in connection with a service. This is useful if you want to be able to show what something looked like before and after, or save a picture of something you would like to have looked at the next time the car is inside.

In addition to what is registered on your particular car, there may be access to the manufacturer's own service data for the model. In other words, what has been prescribed, and not just what has been done. This is the kind of information that otherwise requires a lookup at a dealer.

What you should not keep track of yourself

When the workshop registers the service, it is documented. You do not need to save receipts to be able to show that the car has been taken care of, and the workshop does not necessarily also have to stamp in the paper service book or enter the same into the manufacturer's own service portal. It is the registration that is the documentation.

Reminder when it's time for service again

Once a service has been registered, the next interval can be calculated based on it, and you can be reminded of it with a text message where the workshop is listed as the sender. So you do not have to keep track of when the car was last in order to hit the next time.

Multiple cars in the same account

If the family has more than one car, they are in the same account. You switch between them in the app and have the same history and documents for each of them, regardless of whether they have been to different workshops.

If something doesn't look right

If the car cannot be found, or there is a service missing that you know has been done, please contact us with the number plate and what you expected to see. Then we will look at it.
